Thingamajig 2018: The YMCA and VyStar Credit Union team up for STEAM event

This week over 700 campers attended Thingamajig, a White House endorsed program that teaches students the importance of STEAM.

STEAM is a program that encourages students to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.

"Our hope is to get them to see a different world of what STEAM really means," said Chuck Steinfurth, Experience Executive at First Coast YMCA. "It's not a scary thing it's a fun thing."

The camp, held at the Prime Osborn Convention Center, was put on by The First Coast YMCA and VyStar Credit Union.
