Tim Tebow buys home in Glen Kernan Golf and Country Club

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Tim Tebow is coming to Jacksonville, but not to play for the Jaguars as some would have hoped.

According to Duval County Property Appraiser records, Tebow purchased a home on North Swilican Bridge Lane for $1.4 million on June 27 from David J. Bailey and Virginia M. Bailey. David J. Bailey's LinkedIn page states that he is the president and CEO at Nemours.

The home, which was built in 2000, has five bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths and is 6,525 square feet, according to Multiple Listing Service data. It last sold in 2009 for $1.375 million.

Tebow, who was a standout quarterback at Nease High School and University of Florida, was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010. Tebow was then traded to the New York Jets in 2012, was on the New England Patriots practice squad in 2013 and is now a college football analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network.
