A Jacksonville man is dead after an unidentified driver hit and killed him on Beaver Street, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the driver of a 2009-2014 Ford F-150 traveling westbound on Beaver Street, west of Jones Road struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.
The pedestrian was identified as 32-year-old Joshua Tomlinson.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol crash report, troopers arrived on scene at 4:56 pm. Monday but they believe the crash may have occurred on Sunday, Sept. 23 in the early morning hours.
The color of the truck is unknown but FHP said it may have right front damage to the headlight, hood and possibly the windshield.
