Five races left to be decided in Duval County Unitary General Election

Unlike the March election, there are only five races to still be decided- two are City Council At-Large, meaning all registered voters can cast a ballot; and the remaining three are District races, where only people living in the relevant District can vote. These elections were on the March ballot, but moved in to this May election because no candidate won a majority of the votes outright at that time.

On May 14, polling locations will be open across the County from 7AM through 7PM. Unlike during early voting, on Election Day, you must vote in the precinct where you are registered. You can find out where that is on the Supervisor of Elections website.

The two At-Large races include Group 1 and Group 3. Group 1 is between Republican Terrance Freeman, who is the sitting Councilman for District 10, and Democrat Lisa King. Group 3 features incumbent Democrat Tommy Hazouri and Republican Greg Rachal. All voters registered in Duval County can vote in both of these races.

If you live in Council Districts 8, 10, or 14, you will see a third race on your ballot. In District 8, incumbent Democrat Ju'Coby Pittman faces Democrat Tameka Gaines Holly. In District 10, Democrats Celestine Mills and Brenda A. Priestly Jackson are on the ballot. In District 14, voters will choose between Republican Randy DeFoor and Democrat Sunny Gettinger.
