Action News Jax told you Saturday that one armed robbery suspect has been arrested and the other sent to the hospital after an officer-involved shooting.
JSO linked the men to at least eight armed robberies in two days. Police believe the suspects would target their victims on social media.
The Sherrif's Office undercover officers tracked the men to the intersection of Soutel Drive and Lem Turner Road on Saturday, near a Foot Locker.
When the men approached the officer’s vehicle, officers believe they saw one of the men carrying a gun.
Officers said they identified themselves and ordered the men to lie on the ground.
They said Ejon complied and was arrested, but Elijah ran and was shot multiple times.
Elijah was taken for treatment to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Anyone who has any further information in reference to the listed suspects or the active investigations is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
