Two young adults killed in crash on I-95 on Jacksonville’s Northside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two young adults died in a crash with a semi truck on I-95 Tuesday evening. The crash tied up traffic for hours on the Northside near Lem Turner Road.

Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of a semi-truck that was headed south lost control and hit the concrete barrier wall, then hit a car that was in the right lane, killing the 21-year-old driver and her 23-year-old passenger. Neither has been publicly identified.

Troopers say charges are pending against the semi-truck driver, who is only identified as a 65-year-old man from Jacksonville.
