Wawa to open new store Thursday on Beach Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Wawa, Inc. today announced the grand opening of its new store, at 13363 Beach Boulevard.

The celebration will include free t-shirts for the first 100 people through the door, a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials and a charitable hoagie-building competition between the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters.

To celebrate the Jacksonville grand opening, Wawa will also offer free coffee to all customers at the location from Thursday, Oct. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 20.

To honor their bravery and commitment to our communities, the grand opening event will conclude with "Hoagies for Heroes", a hoagie-building competition where Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters will face off to see who can build the most hoagies in three minutes in the traditional Wawa style.

Wawa will conclude the "Hoagies for Heroes" competition by presenting checks on behalf of the winning and runner-up teams, for $1,000 to the charities of their choice.
