Woman shot at Argyle Forest motel, Jacksonville police say

Jacksonville police responded to a shooting at an Argyle Forest motel Friday in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived at Motel 6 located at 6107 Youngerman Circle, they found a woman with a gunshot wound.

She was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim is believed to be in her mid- 20s, according to JSO.

Police said the shooting happened in one of the rooms of the motel.

Investigators believe the suspect knew the victim and are actively working to identify and locate the suspect.
