A man who reportedly is connected to the murder of Lavert Durden, who was shot and killed in West St. Augustine, was arrested Dec. 6, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say Brandon Calloway is currently being held in Moultrie, Georgia on warrants related to selling cocaine near an elementary school and an armed burglary.

Back in November Action News Jax reported that Durden's family was gathered for a vigil just blocks away from the scene when they got the call about his death, his aunt Frankie Durden-Williams said.
