Deputies: 1 injured, 2 killed in Pine Hills apartment complex shooting

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Two people were killed when shots rang out Tuesday at an apartment complex in Pine Hills.

The shootings happened at the Misty Oaks apartments near Colonial Drive and Hiawassee Road, according toOrange County authorities.

Investigators said a woman called 911 about 1:15 p.m. and said she had been shot.

When deputies arrived, a man and woman were dead inside the apartment.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office won't say if the woman who survived the shooting is a victim or suspect. She's in serious condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Authorities said the three knew each other but they haven’t released any other details in the case.

"We believe that something suspicious obviously happened here," said Jane Watrel of the Sheriff's Office.

The victims' names have not been released.
