Man shot at Mt. Vernon Motor Lodge, has non-life-threatening injuries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man has non-life-threatening injuries after he was found shot on the Southside Thursday night.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a person shot at the Mt. Vernon Motor Lodge at 3201 Philips Highway, just north of Philips and Emerson Street.

The man was transported to a local hospital, police said, and the shooter's identity is unknown.
