Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden once again condemned recent violence in American cities on Monday, using a speech in Pittsburgh to again voice his disapproval of such actions, but also to blast President Donald Trump for not doing the ‘basic duty’ of his job, and allowing unrest to spread.
“I want to make it absolutely clear,” Biden said in a rare campaign stop because of the Coronavirus outbreak, “rioting is not protesting, looting is not protesting, setting fires is not protesting.”
“None of this is protesting - it is lawlessness, plain and simple,” Biden said, as he laid the blame squarely on the occupant of the White House.
“The incumbent President who makes things worse - not better,” Biden said, accusing Mr. Trump of sowing ‘chaos rather than providing order.’
Biden: "Rioting is not protesting. Looting is not protesting... it's lawlessness, plain & simple... violence will not bring change. It will only bring destruction... this POTUS long ago forfeited any moral leadership. He cannot stop the violence b/c for years he has fomented it." pic.twitter.com/6fWRemMnld

Biden shook his head about a recent GOP attack line - ‘you won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America’ - by pointing out the rioting and violence is now occurring under the Trump Administration
“He keeps telling you if he was President you’d feel safe. Well, he is President whether he knows it or not,” said Biden.
“These are not images of some imagined Joe Biden America in the future, these are images of Donald Trump’s America today,” Biden added.
“It’s getting worse - and you know why,” Biden said. “Because Donald Trump adds fuel to every fire.”
Biden: "The simple truth is Donald Trump failed to protect America. So now he's trying to scare America. ... He keeps telling you if he was President you'd feel safe. Well, he is President whether he knows it or not" https://t.co/kcjmcEuMUl pic.twitter.com/BheM2wYp4o

At the White House, President Trump was watching Biden’s remarks.
“To me, he’s blaming the Police far more than he’s blaming the Rioters, Anarchists, Agitators, and Looters, which he could never blame or he would lose the Radical Left Bernie supports!” the President wrote on Twitter.
