The Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick-Glynn County will close Monday at 6 a.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Gale-force winds from Tropical Storm Isaias are expected along Georgia’s coat.
The Talmadge Bridge on US 17 in Savannah-Chatham County will close at 2 p.m. Monday if the wind forecast stays the same.
Drivers would lose control of their vehicles with the predicted wind speeds coupled with the bridges’ elevations. The bridges are being closed for the safety of the traveling public.
