Most of the storms so far today have been near the Florida/Georgia border and across Southeast Georgia.

Storms are lining up now to the west of Jacksonville and will spread along the I-10 corridor through 7 p.m. These storms are expected to slip south of I-10 with time.

An isolated storm or two may become strong or even severe but we are looking at a period of heavy rain, some lightning and gusty winds.

There is much needed rain at this time of the year. Some wet roads for some areas are expected for the late day commute.

Just about everyone in the area will have at least some rain from this cold front. It will be the most significant rain in about the last 10 days or since Mar. 18.

It will be cooler and much less humid behind the front by early tomorrow morning.
