Police: Driver in custody after crashing into golf carts in Washington state

A woman allegedly used her car to strike two carts at a golf course in Lacey, Washington.

A woman in her 30s was taken into custody after police said she drove her vehicle on a golf course and struck two golf carts Friday afternoon in Washington state.

The incident happened at the Indian Summer golf course in Lacey after 2 p.m.

The woman confronted the golfers on the course and a verbal altercation ensued, police told KIRO7.

Investigators said the woman turned her car around and allegedly struck the golf carts with her vehicle.

Two men in one of the golf carts were injured. A golf course employee was in the other cart, and she was not hurt.

Police said the woman ran from the scene, and she was located a few blocks away.

According to investigators, the woman fought with five officers as she was being taken into custody. She was taken to the hospital for an evaluation and police said she will be booked for multiple felony assaults.
