"When I Get Home" is the singer's fourth full-length album and includes 19 tracks featuring collaborations with artists like Earl Sweatshirt and Playboy Carti. The songs mesh together "static R&B, funk, Zydeco and blues," NPR reported.

Solange, 32, known professionally by just her first name, created a page on social networking site Black Planet where she hinted at the album's release earlier this week

“An exploration of origin”; “I made the pilgrimage back to the pagoda of Third Ward Houston to answer this,” Solange wrote, accompanied by animated GIFs of the artist.

Solange also announced nine “album events” all happening March 3 in her hometown of Houston, Texas, to promote the new music.

"When I Get Home" comes three years after the album, "A Seat at the Table," considered by many to be Solange's commercial breakthrough. The album sold the equivalent of 72,000 copies in its first week, and gave Solange her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Rolling Stone reported.
