WASHINGTON — Three people were killed and three more were injured Saturday night after a shooting in Washington, D.C., authorities said.
Update 11:55 p.m. EDT Sept. 4: According to D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee, six people were shot and rushed to an area hospital, WJLA reported. Contee said three victims suffered critical injuries and died at the hospital, the television station reported.
The other three victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, Contee said.
Contee said the suspects exited a vehicle and fired shots down the block into a crowd of people, WRC reported.

Police said they were looking for a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows and chrome-colored rims, the television station reported.
