KILLEEN, Texas — Three members of the military are among nine suspects arrested in a Texas child prostitution sting, authorities said.

According to KXXV-TV, Killeen police and the Texas Department of Public Safety Human Trafficking Program conducted the two-day sting, which ended Saturday, in an attempt to find and arrest people willing to pay minors for sex acts.

"During this operation, nine suspects, three of whom are military, contacted officers through various social media platforms and made agreements for sexual acts with girls they believed were 15 or 16 years of age," Killeen police said in a news release Monday. "These agreements were for fees that included money, drugs and/or alcohol. The suspects were apprehended without incident when they arrived at a predetermined location."
