Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Budweiser, is pushing to become Utah’s official state beer after launching a new advertising campaign Monday.
The brewing company said that if the tag #Bud4Utah is tweeted or retweeted 84,899 times, the company will design its first state commemorative can. The number represents the size of Utah in square miles.
The campaign includes a humorous video featuring “Jed” who goes over various state “things” list including a state fruit, a state rock and a state flower. The two-minute video features cameos from Utah’s Olympic gold medalist Joss Christensen and retired MLS goalkeeper for the Real Salt Lake, Nick Rimando.
