MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — A man was arrested in Marco Island, Florida, after a package reportedly containing drugs was delivered to a neighbor instead of him, according to officials.
In a news release from the Marco Island Police Department, Ryan Hunter Bluestone was arrested after his package was accidentally delivered to a neighbor with a similar name.
The package was reportedly addressed to “the Ryan family,” according to WINK.
According to WINK, the box had a red envelope inside with a Christmas card. Inside the card, the neighbor reportedly found drugs.
MIPD said the neighbors found a “white powdery substance,” and they called the police to remove the package from their house.
MIPD said that Bluestone went to the station to claim the package that reportedly contained drugs. He was arrested.
“Never mail illegal drugs to yourself, and definitely don’t claim them from the Police Department,” MIPD said.
No further information has been released.
