Iowa restaurant reserves table as tribute to soldiers killed in Kabul airport attack

JOHNSTON, Iowa — A Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Iowa paid tribute to the 13 soldiers killed in last week’s bombing in Afghanistan with a special table display.

Restaurant staff reserved a booth in honor of the fallen soldiers, draping the middle of the table with an American flag and lining the table with 13 mugs of beer, WHO 13 News reported.

The display was posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Patrons have left tips on the memorial table. According to WHO 13 News, donations will be given to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post, which will distribute the funds to the families of the service members killed in the attack.
