Man eats Chick-fil-A for 1,000 days (Sundays don’t count)

James Stinson has hit a milestone in his love for all things Chick-fil-A — he’s eaten at the fast food restaurant for 1,000 consecutive days, except for Sundays of course, KBMT reported.

Stinson was going for a record number of visits by going to a Chick-fil-A, no matter where he was, every morning.

He said he had the idea when a man from New Jersey visited Chick-fil-A locations for 100 consecutive days, The Port Arthur News reported.

With his wife Libby by his side, Stinson hit his 1,000th visit in Port Arthur, Texas, on Wednesday, and the employees at that location helped him celebrate in a special booth, decorated with large balloons and a thank you card.

Chick-fil-A’s Becky Tschrihart also gave him 1,000 “Be Our Guest” vouchers that can be used to get free food items.

“Knowing he’s a community-minded person that he is, he’ll probably be handing them out to maybe some schools, or you know, people in the community,” Tschrihart told KMBT.

Tschrihart also gave him other gifts with the company name on them — shirts, socks, water bottles and the book “A Legacy that Lasts,” written by the daughter of the company’s founders.

“The book has to do with legacy and how to live out that legacy through the family,” Tschrihart told The News. “James and Libby are in their 70s and they have children and grandchildren. They’re really involved in their lives, so I think they’ll appreciate the book.”

He said it was not just the food that made him embark on the mission, it was also the customer service the company provides.

“I think Chick-fil-A is a great organization,” Stinson told The News. “If they’re open, I’m here.”
