The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has risen to $480 million in advance of Friday night’s drawing, lottery officials announced.
The jackpot, which is the 10th largest prize in the 20-year history of the nationwide lottery game, grew by $40 million after no one won the top prize in Tuesday’s drawing.
The cash payout would be $276 million.
The last time someone won the Mega Million jackpot was on April 15. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
The winning numbers drawn Tuesday were: 4, 7, 10, 45, 64 and Mega Ball 12.
