The newest Miss USA has been crowned and she hails from Kentucky.
Elle Smith won this year’s Miss USA pageant and will go on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant next month, CNN reported.
Smith is a 2020 graduate of the University of Kentucky where she majored in Broadcast Journalism. She was also the vice-president of the school’s National Association of Black Journalists chapter, according to WHAS.

She’s also a member of the WHAS news team.
The Miss Universe pageant will be held on Dec. 12 in Eilat, Israel.
