Andy Majkut, the owner of an accounting firm in Lorain County, said the deer startled him by shattering a double-pane window on Thursday, WJW reported.

“(It) hit my desk, hit the back of my chair, kind of walked around my desk, and all I’m thinking is, ‘What are we going to do with him?'" Majkut told the television station. “He and I shared glances and then he looked for an escape route.”

It is rutting season in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania. A barbershop owner in Pennsylvania experienced a similar incident when a buck crashed through the window of her shop early Wednesday.

Majkut said after the staredown with the deer, the animal charged toward another window in his office, crashed through it and escaped safely, WJW reported.

“You have no idea how glad I was to see him go," Majkut told the television station. “At that point, you know, it was like ‘I’m glad he’s gone, now we have to deal with the mess,'” he said.

Majkut spent the rest of Thursday morning cleaning up his office and boarding his windows. It was definitely one of the strangest days in his accounting career.

“It’s probably in the top five, nothing to do with accounting, but overall, it’s a top-five,” Majkut told WJW.
