Joshua Christian, 35, of Brooklyn, has been charged with stalking and criminal trespassing in connection with suspicious behavior in the vicinity of Swift’s Tribeca apartment on both March 26 and June 12, the NYPD confirmed to Rolling Stone.

TMZ first reported Christian’s arrest.

According to the entertainment news site, Christian yelled over the apartment’s intercom, threatening to harm Swift if she refused to be with him. He then entered the building, where security confronted him, and he fled on foot.

Christian was arrested at around 7:20 p.m. EDT Friday, the NYPD confirmed to Forbes.

According to Forbes, a different man, who was accused of using the pop star’s shower and sleeping in her bed, was arrested in 2019 for breaking into Swift’s townhouse twice. A third man was sentenced to 30 months in prison in 2020 for stalking the singer, sending Swift emails in which he threatened to sexually assault and kill her.

“You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things,” Swift wrote in Elle in 2019. “Every day I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I’ve witnessed, and the faith I have in humanity. We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive, and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.”
