Jacksonville Jaguars put franchise tag on Cam Robinson

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to put a franchise tag on offensive tackle Cam Robinson, National Insider for NFL Network Ian Rapoport reports.

The move would keep Robinson off the free agent market and in Jacksonville this season.

Rapoport said keeping Robinson on the team is being done likely to protect Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who will likely be taken by the Jags as first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Action Sports Jax’s Brent Martineau said keeping Robinson is a low risk move for the team that may potentially reward.
