Scobee's Wikipedia page briefly changed to say 'unemployed kicker'

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Josh Scobee was a trending topic on social media early Friday, after he missed two field goals in the team’s overtime loss to Baltimore.

Many fans on Twitter were calling for the return of Jeff Reed, who last kicked for the Steelers five years ago.

Reed didn’t rule it out. He responded by tweeting “ Let’s keep this simple…bring me back Pittsburgh!” and he also retweeted an earlier tweet:  “I’d do anything to wear black and gold again…”

Also overnight, someone edited Scobee's Wikipedia page to call him "an unemployed kicker" and "a spy who at a young age trained himself to fool everyone into thinking he was an NFL kicker."

The page was quickly re-edited to remove the changes.

There has been no comment from the Steelers about Scobee's status with the team or Reed.
