Jags beat Redskins 17-16, Scobee's successor kicks game-winning FG

LANDOVER, MD — The Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Washington Redskins 17-16 in the nation's capitol Thursday.

The man who replaced long-time Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee, kicked a game-winning 47-yard field goal with 3:32 remaining in the game.

None of the Jaguars starting players played in the game.

It was a big game for a number of players because the Jags have to trim their roster from 75 to 53 by Saturday afternoon.

The Jaguars will open the regular season on Sunday, September 13th against the Carolina Panthers at EverBank Field.
