Yannick Ngakoue said in a social media post Monday morning that he doesn’t want to sign another contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jags’ defensive end said in a tweet:
“The Jaguars are aware I no longer have interest in signing a long term contract in Jacksonville. Duval, I love you and gave you guys everything I got. I’m thankful for the journey and look forward to continuing my career elsewhere. -91”

Ngakoue tries a leverage play with the franchise tag looming. This essentially is him saying he won’t play on the tag. Jaguars have until March 12th to use it. I think the Jaguars will still franchise tag him despite today’s tweet of wanting out. @ActionSportsJax @ESPN690Jax
