Southeastern Putnam County in northeastern Florida... * Until 645 PM EDT. * At 338 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Crescent City, Fort McCoy, Salt Springs, Juniper Springs, Citra, Lynne, Lake Delancy, Sparr, Fruitland and Burbank. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
