Buresh Blog: Mild, somewhat wet Nov... 80-degree winter days... Dec./early Jan. night skies

Jacksonville, FL — November ended up mild & somewhat wet. “Somewhat” because almost all of the Nov. rain fell on a single day - Nov. 10th when Nicole moved across Florida. There were only 4 other days with measurable rain with the month ending up just a bit more than 1″ above average.

Our - Jacksonville - streak of at least one 80 degree day each month continues reaching nearly 7 years! Temps. were 80+ Tue. & Wed., Dec. 6-7 including a record-tying high of 83 degrees on the 7th (Dec. 7th, 2013).

Night skies into January (Sky & Telescope):

A really good time Tue., Dec. 6th as my wife & I had the honor of being a couple of the judges for Naval Station Mayport holiday lights. Lots of ships participating in what was a very fun & festive night! Thanks to all the sailors & their families for their dedication to our country.
