JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — WATCH LIVE: The First Alert Weather Team has your full forecast starting on CBS47 at 5.
Relatively tranquil weather holds today as the rain threat looks isolated again - the sea breeze moves inland this afternoon, which may pop an isolated shower over Duval. Most of the rain today will be inland and in SE GA. In the meantime, it will be HOT with temperatures in the low to mid 90s with feels like temps near 100. Partly to mostly sunny on Friday, DRY and HOT as we get ready for a few weekend storms.

TROPICS: Chantal is now a depression and will be a remnant low by Friday, if not sooner. Also, an area of disorganized thunderstorms near the Bahamas is expected to track close to the Florida coast over the next few days. Some development is possible, but not likely at this time. Long term models don’t have this developing into anything until it moves away from FL. This may throw some extra rain our way, especially Sunday onward, and rough up the seas a bit. We’re tracking.
#Chantal still way out there, it's slowing down & expected to weaken to a remnant low tomorrow #FirstAlertWX pic.twitter.com/zMHM8hw9oJ
