First Alert Weather: Near-Record Highs Again Sunday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — We broke the record high today in Jacksonville of 97 beating 96 from 1951. Tonight we stay dry and mostly clear with lows in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Hot weather continues Sunday with near record highs once again. The upper 90s to near 100 will be common inland with the beaches warming to the low 90s before the sea breeze arrives for the afternoon. We stay dry with "feels like" temps between 102-107.

Starting Tuesday, a low chance for rain sneaks back in as afternoon temps "drop" into the low 90's.

TROPICS: Dorian has now become a post tropical cyclone over Nova Scotia and is still producing Category 2 Hurricane force winds. Hurricane warnings continue for Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Gabrielle is out to sea and stays there.

One more tropical wave has moved off Africa and bears watching as it tracks toward the Caribbean, but nothing threatens the US anytime soon.
