First Alert Weather: Scattered tropical downpours but not as hot

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A few brief showers will continue to stream southwest off the Atlantic into this evening.  Otherwise skies will be partly cloudy with lows in the 70s.

Thursday will by partly sunny, breezy & humid with a few brief showers again and highs in the mid to upper 80s.  Breezy winds out of the east & northeast will keep the beaches a bit cooler along with an elevated rip current risk.

TROPICS: An active tropical wave is over the Bahamas.  Some gradual tropical development is possible through the weekend with at least a heavy rain threat along with gusty winds for much of Florida & parts of the Eastern Gulf Coast.  Stay up to date with the latest forecasts regarding this tropical disturbance and its impacts on Florida and nearby areas.
