We are starting off mild in the 70s this morning under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Highs today will climb to the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Showers and storms will begin to pop between 12 and 2 pm for the I-95 corridor. The main threat is locally heavy downpours and lightning strikes. The storms will advance inland through the afternoon and early evening as the sea breeze moves west and northwest. The west coast and east coast sea breeze will merge east of I-75. This will continue the threat of storms there early this evening. The rest of the week will feature highs in the lower 90s and scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
