Skies will begin to partially clear this afternoon and evening with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s.

Skies clear out completely overnight and the weekend will be sunny with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Thursday Update:

Rain and storms from the west are heading our way and the First Alert Doppler HD shows heavy pockets of rain moving across the panhandle Thursday evening.

This is the same system that caused major flooding in New Orleans Thursday. The city's famous Jazz Fest had to be delayed as strong wind, thunder and lightning pounded the area.

This system will bring a wet morning commute to parts of our area and will bring heavy rain and gusty winds to some neighborhoods.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorgologist Mike Buresh is in the First Alert Weather center with the forecast for tomorrow and your weekend.
