911 caller details the moments after man lost leg in Vilano Beach boating accident

A man lost part of his leg after he pushed his fiancee to safety during a boat accident in St. Augustine. 

Authorities have released 911 calls from a Vilano Beach boating accident in which a man lost his leg while saving his fiance's life.

Four people were injured when their boat was hit by a larger ski boat on Saturday night. One of the boaters, Logan Farquhar, lost part of his leg from the crash.

Farquhar’s fiance Billie Inman said she woke up to the sound of a much larger boat coming at them from behind. She said Farquhar pushed her out of the way.

“I was right there and the water was just rushing in,” said Inman. “And I thought I was going to die.”

Inman said the propeller of the ski boat cut off his lower leg.

One of the 911 callers reported that Farquhar had lost part of his leg (Warning, transcript contains language that may be considered graphic to some):

Operator: "911, what is the address of your emergency?"

Caller: "The city boat ramp on Vilano Beach before the bridge. There was another boat that hit another boat and the guy lost his leg." 

Operator: "OK.  ... Are you there with the patient?"

Caller: "No, they're taking the patient up there to the front. They're taking the patient up to the boat ramp and his leg, I believe, is floating in the river."

Operator: "OK, hang on a second and we'll get fire (rescue) on the line with us."
