Alfred Angelo in Jacksonville holding liquidation sale

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax reported in July about Alfredo Angelo closing all of its stores because it filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Now, a Jacksonville store is back open for a liquidation sale; hoping to help those soon-to-be brides who were left empty handed.

Employees were left without jobs, and brides were panic-stricken across the country, including Jacksonville.

For La’Keisha Grace, she’s all smiles because she has her dress.

“I got mine. Thank the Lord! I’m getting married next month, Saturday Sept. 30 in Las Vegas," Grace said.

But not everyone was so lucky like Grace.

“I feel very bad for them,” she said.

“We are trying to get rid of all of Alfred Angelo old product,” said Janai Jacobs, a former manager.

Jacobs said even if people put in orders and put down a deposit, unless the store received the dress, customers are out of luck

For those women who didn’t get their refunds or their dresses, Jacobs said she hopes marked down prices will help.

“Most of these dresses are marked down, equivalent to the balances that were on some of the dresses that some brides didn’t get,” she said.

They're hoping to let more brides to be like Grace and walk out with the perfect dress

“I’ll be walking down the aisle next month,” Grace said.

The liquidation sale ends Sept. 4.
