Jacksonville will see the coldest temperatures of the season so far on Saturday night and Sunday.

Many areas will see freezing temperatures by or just after midnight.
The bitter cold has arrived along with windy conditions out of the northwest at 10-20 mph with gusts of 25-30 mph.

Morning lows will range from the mid to upper 20s inland to the lower to mid 30s near the coast.
Many spots inland will be below freezing for 8 to 12 hours.
The Sulzbacher Center has opened a cold night shelter. Temporary sleeping areas will be available at the center in dining rooms and the library area. Breakfast will also be provided by the Center, as well as winter weather coats and jackets, donated by the community.
If it's too cold for you...it's too cold for them! Bring your pets inside during extreme cold weather. It's expected to freeze tonight.

Daytime highs will only make it to the mid to upper 40s Sunday despite full sunshine.
Another freeze is likely on Sunday night and into Monday morning.
Temperatures will be back in the upper 60s by Tuesday.
