Report: British navy sailors host 'drug-fueled parties' while docked at Kings Bay

Nine British navy sailors were discharged after allegations of drug-fueled parties while their submarine was docked at Kings Bay in Georgia.

The Daily Mail reports that the sailors were discharged from the navy after testing positive for cocaine in September.

The sailors were drug tested after their senior officers heard about drug- and sex-fueled parties at their hotel while their submarine was docked at Kings Bay, according to the Daily Mail.

Four sailors were immediately flown home and five more were dismissed Thursday.

A British sailor allegedly hired a prostitute he met at a bar then stole the money he gave her while the submarine was docked at Kings Bay.

The sailor's shipmates are accused of giving police a false name for their comrade and lying about the submarine they belonged to.

News of the investigation into the British sailors comes weeks after two U.S. Navy sailors stationed at Kings Bay died of apparent drug overdoses.

Brian Jarrell, 25, was reported missing by his family after he disappeared during a trip to Orlando.

His wife told investigators the family was at Disney World Oct. 11 for Jarrell's daughter's birthday when he said he wasn't feeling well and left the park.

His wife filed a missing person report with Orange County Sheriff's Office when she got back to the hotel and couldn't find Jarrell.

Jarrell's shipmates began searching for him in Camden County. They found his car outside a friend's home on Spinnaker Circle on Oct. 12.

They found Jarrell dead in the back bedroom.

Officers found Ty Bell lying on a couch unresponsive with a white, foamy substance coming from his nose at the same home four days later.

A source told Action News Jax that cocaine and fentanyl were found in the house.

Bell, a petty officer second class, was assigned to the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Wyoming, which is homeported at Kings Bay.

Jerrell was a petty officer first class assigned to Trident Training Facility.
