Car fire closes I-295 near Pritchard Road in Jacksonville

A vehicle burst into flames Friday afternoon on I-295 near the exit to Pritchard Road, closing the roadway ahead of rush hour.

It is not confirmed whether the vehicle was involved in a collision. Traffic sounthbound at I-295 was being diverted off at Pritchard.

First Alert Traffic recommends drivers to take Imeson down to Commonwealth to get back on I-295 south.
