A Clay County teacher is accused of attacking a mother during baseball practice, according to a Clay County Sheriff's Office police report.

Terry Lee Coursey, 37, was arrested Feb. 24 and charged with simple battery after she allegedly tackled and punched a woman several times. The victim said Coursey attacked her because she claimed her shorts were too short for a 'kids event," according to the report.

The victim had visible injuries to her arms, shoulder blade, elbow and chest.

Coursey is a teacher at Plantation Oaks Elementary School in Orange Park.
