Clay teen reported missing apprehended in Michigan by U.S. Marshals on burglary warrant

Ethan Gorden

A Clay County teen who was reported missing in August was apprehended in Michigan on two active warrants.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office Robbery Homicide Unit worked with the U.S. Marshals Service to locate and apprehend Ethan Gorden, 19, in Port Huron.

Gorden was wanted on two active warrants for burglary to an occupied home and violation of probation. When authorities first approached Gorden on Friday, he attempted to hide his identity, CCSO said, but he was then positively identified and taken into custody.

Gorden was reported missing after his mother said he disappeared from her Clay County home on August 27. Maddie Gorden told Action News Jax in early September she was concerned because her son's wallet and phone were still at home.

She also said he got about 30 threatening Snapchat messages before he disappeared.

Ethan Gorden is currently in the Macomb County Jail in Michigan and is awaiting extradition back to Clay County.
