Two children and the 30-year-old driver of the GMC Terrain were not injured in the crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

A GoFundMe for Phelps' family said he had three daughters.

"Neil was the most positive person I’ve ever known," his friend John Blalock wrote on the GoFundMe. "His smile would light up a room."

Blalock's GoFundMe has raised more than $12,200 for Neil's funeral expenses and family.

He said leftover money will be deposited into a college fund for his daughters.

"Neil always talked about seeing his children go to college," Blalock wrote. "I would really like to see Neil’s mission to see his daughters attend college still be realized."

Another GoFundMe account for Phelps' family said he had a selfless heart and a contagious smile.

"He was a brother, a missionary, a husband, a servant, a friend, a father and a provider," Angela Baker Eiben wrote on the page. "He will walk beside his Father now, and be a forever angel to his girls."
