After some NASCAR owners threatened to fire anyone who might protest during the national anthem Sunday, Dale Earnhardt Jr. took to Twitter and responded to national anthem protests that have engulfed the NFL.

Earnhardt Jr, a former Daytona 500 winner, is in his final season in NASCAR's premier series.

Earnhardt Jr., who has 2.2 million Twitter followers, has always been one to express his opinion on social media. He fired off this Tweet Monday:
