Deputies recover vehicle suspected in deadly shootings near St. Augustine

What we know:

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The vehicle believed to be occupied by a man suspected in two shootings in West Augustine has been recovered, deputies said.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said the red Ford vehicle was recovered Tuesday night in Duval County. Deputies believed 36-year-old Johnny Williams Jr., of St. Augustine, was in the vehicle.

Williams is suspected in the shooting deaths of 24-year-old Jamie Wilson and 18-year-old Keiwuan Murray on Tuesday.

Deputies said Murray was holding her child when she was shot. The child was not injured and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the vehicle was found unoccupied by officers in the 900 block of Kenmore Street, which is near Interstate 95 and Norwood Avenue on Jacksonville's Northside.

An arrested warrant has been obtained for Williams. However, his whereabouts are unknown.

Williams is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 195 pounds. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

The investigation is ongoing.
