Nassau, Duval counties now eligible for FEMA assistance after Hurricane Matthew

Homeowners, renters and business owners in Duval and Nassau counties can now apply for federal disaster assistance following Hurricane Matthew.

FEMA announced Tuesday that people in Nassau can apply for federal disaster assistance for uninsured and underinsured damages and losses caused by Hurricane Matthew.

FEMA announced on Monday that Duval is eligible for individual assistance and disaster unemployment assistance.

Applicants must file for the unemployment assistance by Nov. 23.

Public assistance is available to people in Indian River, Putnam, Nassau, St. Johns, Volusia, Clay, and Martin Counties.
