Family, friends identify woman found shot dead in car in Jacksonville

Family and friends have identified to Action News Jax the woman found shot dead in a car on Saturday night at Normandy Boulevard and Lenox Avenue.

Family member say Bria Kelsey was the woman found dead in her car while a 2 to 3-year-old boy, who police said was her son, was found in the car unharmed. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has not officially identified the woman as Kelsey.

Kelsey's family said they were not ready to speak on camera about her or share a photo of her, but said they would speak further about Kelsey when they are ready.

We spoke to employees at the McDonald's at Normandy Boulevard and Fouraker Road, who also did not wish to go on camera, but told us that Kelsey worked there.
