A Florida National Guard sergeant based at Camp Blanding has been arrested for alleged sexual battery of a child.
On Wednesday, 28-year-old Sgt. Edward James Bowman faces three counts of sexual battery of a child under 12 years of age. Authorites said Bowman is a sergeant with military police at Camp Blanding.

He is being held on a $750,009 bond. Bowman's next court date is set for Thursday. Bowman is still a member of the National Guard but if found guilty, military proceedings and appropriate actions will be taken.
